Dear You I: Mothers in Print (October 2025)
Dear You I was a multi‑weekend printmaking and storytelling program in Newark that centered mothers through reflection, screen printing, and collective care. Over several weekends, participants explored personal memories, developed visual designs, and learned screen printing techniques to bring their stories to life.
Mothers printed their designs onto fabric squares that were later sewn into a collective quilt, a visual archive and emotional centerpiece honoring their shared experiences. The program concluded with a community gathering and photoshoot, where the quilt was displayed and mothers came together to share space, stories, and reflection.
