Process:

Printmaking allows me to create without limitations. The medium has taught me to be apologetic in the imperfections. My work is developed conceptually then physically in a series of stages including illustration, collage, painting and various printmaking processes.

Materials:

As a printmaker, the natural world around me constantly inspires me. My work is a celebration of the beauty and complexity of the environment, and I use printmaking techniques to capture the intricacies of nature in every piece. I'm very particular about creating art that includes the use of high-quality materials, such as archival paper and fade-resistant inks, to create prints that will last a lifetime. These inks are formulated to resist fading and yellowing, making sure that my prints maintain their vibrancy for years to come.

Experimentation:

I believe that research is the bedrock of any successful artistic endeavor. Prior to starting a new piece, I dedicate time to thoroughly researching the subject matter and imagery I aim to portray. This process not only helps me develop a profound understanding of the topic but also enables me to pinpoint the essential elements I want to emphasize in my work.

As I merge various facets of identity, history, and perspective, I can create a representation that is both accurate and empathetic. Incorporating multiple viewpoints allows me to craft a more nuanced and multifaceted portrayal that resonates with a broader range of experiences. Ultimately, my objective is to provide viewers with a dynamic lens through which they can engage with my art. I aspire for my work to incite contemplation and introspection, encouraging viewers to explore new perspectives and modes of thought. Beginning with research and interweaving diverse elements of identity and history.
